Ladybird Pre-school is looking for a Pre-school Practitioner from December 2012 to join our large and dedicated team providing high quality childcare within the village of Cottenham. You must have a relevant childcare qualification to at least NVQ 2 or equivalent (NVQ Level 3 is desirable) and working experience in an early years/childcare setting. You should be willing to learn and undertake training and to work competently with demonstrable experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
You should be able to demonstrate the skills and understanding to support the implementation of childcare and curriculum activities for children ages 2-4 years old whilst ensuring safety and supervision at all times. Experience of being akeyworker and of providing verbal and written feedback to parents is essential. You must have up to date knowledge of child protection issues and procedures and a willingness to work with staff, Trustees and parents to support fundraising efforts for the pre-school.

Hours of work will be:
Monday 8.30am –3.30pm
Tuesday 8.30am -12.45pm
Wednesday 8.30 –12.45pm
Thursday 11.15am –3.30pm
Friday 8.30am –3.30pm
plus additional meetings and keyworking time.
There may be the opportunity toincrease your hours during the school year.
The post is on a permanent basis but hours of work are reviewed annually at the beginning of the academic year.
