Aims

The Ladybird Pre-school recognizes how much early experiences impact on children’s future chances; our aim is to give every child the best start in life.

Objectives:

  • To ensure children feel safe and secure in our care
  • To provide experiences for playing and learning that children can participate in at their own pace
  • To understand that every child is unique and brings something different to the setting
  • To build strong and supportive relationships with parents
  • To enable the environment to contribute towards learning and development
  • To promote shared, sustained thinking and conversation between adults and children
  • To lead children to develop positive dispositions to themselves and others and to their play and learning.
  • To ensure staff have access to continuous high quality training
  • To ensure everyone at the Ladybird Pre-school is aware of and involved in the scheme “Promoting Health in Early Years Settings”.

The Ladybird Pre-school has policies covering every aspect of our care and education available in the office. Individual policies can be copied or e-mailed on request.

"The thing I like best about Ladybirds is the fact that it is here for the village and so has a real feeling of community. That it is friendly and soon all the parents know each other and the children know each other and provide a support network."
