Aims
The aims of the Ladybird Pre-school are:-
  • To enhance the development and education of children primarily under the statutory school age by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of their children whatever the needs of their children through community groups and by:

    • offering appropriate play facilities and training courses, together with the right of parents to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of such groups ensuring that such groups offer opportunities for all children whatever their race, culture, religion, means or ability
    • encouraging the study of the needs of such children and their families and promoting public interest in and recognition of such needs in the local areas
    • instigating and adhering to and furthering the aim of the Pre-school Learning Alliance.
    • to give children the opportunity to develop their confidence, independence, self esteem, social and emotional skills through an appropriate curriculum with regard to the government prescribed Foundation Stage and Early Learning Goals.

Objectives

  • To provide an extensive range of activities and equipment to assist children in working towards the Early Learning Goals.
  • To employ suitably qualified and vetted staff.
  • To provide training opportunities for new staff and further training for established staff.
  • To inform and provide opportunities for training to parents/carers.
  • To inform parents/carers of the Pre-school Learning Alliance Philosophy and the organisation and running of the Ladybird Pre-school. 
  • To encourage parents/carers to participate in the organisation and running of the Ladybird Pre-school.
